Vascular Surgeon

Dr Bernard SEGERS is a surgeon specialized in the treatment of vascular (arterial and venous) disease. He has a diverse therapeutic approach, using all the most recent treatments like radio-frequency and laser.

Dr. Bernard Segers developed an minimally invasive arterial and venous vascular surgical activity within the CHU St Pierre in Brussels and the CHIREC group (Clinique Edith Cavell in Brussels and Hôpital de Braine L’Alleud-Waterloo).
It favors an endovascular approach with regard to occlusive arterial lesions (stenoses, occlusions) and aneurysms (arterial dilatations). He practices carotid surgery under loco-regional anesthesia with or without hypnosis.
The management of venous lesions (varicose veins, varicosities) is also proposed on a minimally invasive basis. It favors endovascular (laser, radiofrequency) and transcutaneous (radiofrequency) treatments.

Dr. Segers is also developing clinical research and teaching activity under the aegis of the ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles).
